Dave with his wife Patsy have been the Innkeepers and caretakers of Bloomer Mansion since 2004. Since expanding the vacation rental business in 2008 to include more homes, Dave has been in charge of running the overall business; including finances, reservations, billing, and working with owners and customers alike to insure the business runs smoothly. In Dave's words "It is quite exciting to build a new business and see both customers and homeowners so delighted with our service." Before taking over Bloomer Estates Dave was a teachers' assistant at Ilwaco High School. |

Patsy owns customer relations, reservations and works with the housekeeping staff to ensure our cleanliness ratings for all homes exceed customer expectations. She worked for 20 years as the Activity Director at an adult special needs center called Rocky Bay Health Care Facility. Dave later started working at the same facility, and it is at Rocky Bay where the two met. They later married and relocated to Long Beach, WA to work as Innkeepers at Bloomer Mansion and then later to run Bloomer Estates. |

Robbie and Heidi purchased the Bloomer Mansion in 2004 as their vacation home and a vacation rental. It brings them great joy to see the house rented all year and to see such great guest comments and suggestions. "We have likely had over 100 hundred good ideas which we have implemented, from small--baby stroller, to large --'drafty in winter.' On the latter we added 44 new double-pane windows, new insulation and outside shingles. Someone even requested building out the deck on the 2nd level, moving up the hot tub and opening a spa with massage room and sauna. We have actually built the plans with an architect and in a few years, if business is still good, we will build it." The request that is not on the drawing board: "One of the kids wrote that the only thing missing is a swimming pool in the basement. We have not yet figured out this one yet." If you stay at the Bloomer Mansion, please put in a request for something new--you may find it there when you return.

Gary Baker Sr, born and raised on the Long Beach, WA coast, has been a builder for over 30 years. Besides building the Bolstad West building with the luxury condominium ("Baker's Beachfront Beauty") and 6 studio apartments, Gary has also built the Shanalah Shores Condominiums and many other houses and commercial properties in Long Beach area. Gary lives with his wife Noni in Astoria Oregon. In their "semi-retirement" they have found time to travel through in Africa, Asia, Europe and of course the United States. Gary mentioned he and Noni enjoyed a summer in one of their studios in Bolstad West: "We had a lovely time spending the evenings on the porch, watching the sunsets, and chatting with tourists as they walked to and from the Beach. It was nice to be right in the heart of long beach but come home to that lovely view". Gary told us that after travelling the world, he still finds the Pacific Northwest one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas on the planet. They both hope you enjoy their residence. |

Dave and his wife Shelley made a partnership with Wes and his wife Dona to buy the Tinker House some years ago. Dave told me "We found an advertisement in the nickel want ads for an 1880's victorian mansion" for sale on the Long Beach, WA peninsula. The Tinker House had been a bed and breakfast for years, and then a vacation rental. We loved the old house and have been using it as a family and friends getaway. Both Wes and Dave have built and sold many houses, apartments, lodges and condominiums in the Pacific Northwest. "We love working on the Tinker House and the Guest House. We are constantly improving it, and now with our partnership with Bloomer Estates we are seeing a lot more satisfied guests visiting the house." |

Jeanette and Mike just started renting the Admiral House in the summer in 2008. They bought the house some years ago just for their friends and family to visit, then tried monthly rentals, and are now delighted with the response as a vacation rental. Jeanette said "it is a delight working with Bloomer Estates and especially Dave and Patsy. We started renting the house in June and filled up July and August. Already we have emails from guests saying this is their favorite home". Mike is a carpenter, and in a very short time, he was able to completely remodel the basement to make it a fantastic recreation room. Both Mike and Jeanette look forward to seeing the guest comments to find new ways to improve the house further. Jeanette told us with a smile "Our goal is to have the Admiral House be even more popular than the Bloomer Mansion". |
