Sept 7th, 2018 Ilwaco Slow Drag at the Port

Slow Drag at the Port returns to the Port of Ilwaco for another slow-rolling year. Fans line Howerton Way to watch this classic car competition where slow and steady wins the race — vehicles accelerate about 15 feet before coasting the final 200 yards to the finish line; the car that stops closest to the line is the victor. September 7, 2018



From Model Ts to muscle cars, the Rod Run to the End of the World features acres of automobiles and plenty of chrome eye-candy! Held in Ocean Park, Rod Run attendees will also be treated to food and craft vendors and a swap meet. Sept 7 is Slow Drag at the Port


Ends September 29th The Saturday Market at the Port of Ilwaco features more than 70 vendors along the pedestrian-only Waterfront Way overlooking the Port of Ilwaco marina and Baker Bay. Find regional produce, wonderful baked goods, a huge selection of local plants and many homemade arts and crafts. May 5 – September 29, 2018







September 14 to 16 Cache-Dash-Splash Geocaching III
Modern-day treasure hunters will love Cache-Dash-Splash, a relatively new Peninsula event that’s geared toward geocachers and ideal for the whole family. The fun kicks off with a morning check-in at Veteran’s Field in Long Beach before participants begin the Peninsula-wide search. September 14-16, 2018





October to March, 2018 Razor Clam Digging
So much fun for kids to senior citizens. All you need is a clam gun or shovel, some boots and a permit from the local store to get started. This is a hugely popular activity in Long Beach and this winter may be the best digging in 25 years!



Oct 1 to Nov 15 Wild Mushroom Celebration
Celebrate fabulous fall fungi on the Long Beach Peninsula with the annual Wild Mushroom Celebration‘s series of events. Chefs, innkeepers and foragers take pride in featuring and celebrating this natural treasure through the fall harvest season





October 5-7, 2018 Peninsula Arts Association

Now entering its 48th year, the Peninsula Arts Association Fall Show is the group’s longest-running art event. See artwork created by the Peninsula’s talented creative community. The People’s Choice Ribbon is the show’s top award, and attendees vote for their favorite works. Proceeds from the art raffle benefit a local high school scholarship, the PAA High School Graduate Scholarship Fund and Art Enrichment Program. October 5-7, 2018



October 6-7, 2018 One Sky, One World Kite Fly for Peace
The One Sky, One World Kite Fly for Peace was born out of the Cold War, when a kite featuring American and Soviet flags on each side of a globe was presented to Russian officials by an American dignitary. The kite was received as a symbol of global peace and understanding, and the event has been celebrated across the world ever since. Join the celebration as it enters its 30th year. Participants can build, buy and fly kites. 



October 12-14 Water Music Festival 

The 34th annual Water Music Festival is a three-concert series featuring jazz and classical musicians performing in intimate venues up and down the Long Beach Peninsula. This event also supports local school music programs. October 12-14, 2018





October 13-14, 2018 Cranberrian Fair
The annual Cranberrian Fair celebrates the Peninsula’s yearly cranberry harvest and honors the berry’s heritage in southwest Washington. The fair features crafts, vendors, a Cranberry Trolley and food, including the ever-popular cranberry-peach pies. Craft demonstrations include rug hookers and a blacksmith.  October 13-14, 2018





October 14, 2018 Great Columbia Crossing 10k

Experience the glory of the Columbia River during the Great Columbia Crossing 10k, a unique opportunity to race across the bridge that spans the Washington-Oregon border. The Astoria-Megler Bridge is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America and provides the venue for this fantastic 10k. October 14, 2018
