The Tinker home is a local treasure. Originally built in the 1890's by the founder of “Tinkerville, WA” (later renamed to Long Beach), this expansive Victorian was converted from a Bed and Breakfast to a vacation rental. It has been fully restored, renovated and expanded to its current size with four bedrooms plus an extra sitting-room, sun room, dining room, living room and kitchen. It was moved much closer to the beach in 1992-with a peek-a-boo ocean view from upstairs, and only two houses between the Tinker home and the beach. The house is beautifully appointed with antiques and period pieces, yet with all of the modern amenities that we have come to expect.
On the same property is the Tinker Guest House; a modern building with three bedrooms, extra large kitchen and living room, large bathroom and garage. There is plenty of room for the young (and young-at-heart) to play in the guest house, while the adults enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the Tinker home.
The location of these two homes could not be more ideal. They are three minutes walk to the beach, and two blocks to the stoplight in downtown Long Beach. Our guests of all ages typically do not drive again when they come to the Tinker house: they walk to the beach, boardwalk, local movie theater, many restaurants, coffee shops, stores, amusement park and much more.
