Celebrate the passion for this exalted bulb with the faithful throngs who make their annual pilgrimage to the NW Garlic Festival at the Port of the Peninsula with a view of the Willpapa Bay in the community of Ocean Park, Washington, located on the Long Beach Peninsula. This GARLIC Olympics of Gastronomy is not held for the region’s GARLIC growing ability. This Festival was born out of love of great, GARLIC laden cuisine!

4th of July Fireworks

FREE fireworks on the Beach. Downtown Long Beach, just past the arch. Don't miss the show in Ocean Park Washington where hundreds of people line up at the beach for a specatular miles long firework show that often lasts past midnight.

Long Beach Rodeo

The Long Beach NPRA-sanctioned Rodeo is a peninsula classic. Now in its 74th year, the rodeo features saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling, as well as team, calf and breakaway roping. Join us for a great day of world class jazz and delicious food. Our event is held at the Port of Peninsula in Nahcotta, WA. where fresh harvested oysters and other shellfish are brought in daily. From here, the view of the bay and the Willapa Hills is spectacular.

Washington State International Kite Festival



The Washington State International Kite Festival is a week-long kite celebration and competition held annually during the third full week of August. Starting on Monday and ending on Sunday, this beautiful festival boasts skies ablaze with color, high flying action, and choreographed movement. Washington’s Kite Festival draws famous kite fliers from all around the world, and tens of thousands awed spectators, many of whom participate in the fun with their own kite flying adventures.

Rod Run to the End of the World

The most fun you can have on four wheels! This coasting “race” is something you have to see to understand. Bring your chair and watch classic cars, rat rods, unique vehicles and themed cars coast their way to the finish line. Always held the Friday of Rod Run weekend at the Port of Ilwaco. Free to watch.
