46th Running of 'Beach to Chowder' 5 & 10k marathon

We are calling all runners! Take part in the 45th annual 'Running of Beach to Chowder' here on the Long Beach Peninsula. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the discovery trail and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Registration starts on January 5th, early birds who register before March 30th save $5 on registration fees. Registration includes: Event Shirt, Clam Chowder, and finances the medals for the winners. The Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival has been a tradition on Oregon's North Coast for over fifty years. The festival takes place this year from June 17th-19th. The festival embodies the rich cultural heritage transplanted to the Astoria, Oregon region by emigrating Scandinavians. During the three days of the festival, over a dozen Scandinavian musical, dance, and theater groups are scheduled to appear and entertain. In addition, retail booths will offer handcrafts, Scandinavian import items, and traditional Scandinavian foods. So take a trip down to Astoria and join in the festivities.
