The Cottage Bakery has been a part of the Long Beach community since 1908, using recipes from the 1950s and earlier to this day.  After 50 years of ownership, the Andrews sold the business to Jeff & Casey Harrell and Mark & Lindy Swain in April of 2020.  The Cottage Bakery, now known as Dylan’s Cottage Bakery, in memory of the Harrells’ 6-year-old daughter, will continue on with the iconic donuts, desserts, and pastries as they expand the menu adding new amazing items, making them fresh daily.  In addition to the pastries and other sweets, Dylan’s Cottage Bakery also serves lunch with a variety of sandwiches, soups, and chowders.

Patty Lopez and her husband, Emmanuel Cholico, opened Patty’s Fish Tacos in May of 2018, after working in a restaurant for 14 years.  This walk-in taco shop is located in downtown Long Beach near Marsha’s Free Museum and Funland.  They offer an assortment of fresh fish and toppings.  This is a great place to stop for a quick lunch while in town and one of the locals’ favorites for their reasonable prices and great food!

This is a must-stop for great rib-eye steaks and fish and chips. Saras is one of the only places you can get a great meal after 8:00 PM anywhere in Long Beach and Ocean Park.  Turn west at the Ocean Park Stoplight, the Rusty Spur is next door to 1303 Beach Retreat. Be sure to call first, hours vary due to Covid-19.
