The March 2022 Events Calendar for the Long Beach Washington Peninsula has now been announced. Come to the beach and enjoy the Coastal Celtic Music Festival with up to twelve different bands, excellent musicians, dancers, and workshops. In Mid-March, there has been the Spring Break Family Kite Festival at the World Kite Museum, which has been a massive hit for a family fun activity and even a mermaid parade. 25th Annual Quilt Show
March 15th-17th
Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco
The Peninsula Quilt Guild will try for the 4th time to hold our 25th annual quilt show on March 15-17th at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco. This extraordinary quilt is the prize quilt this year. Tickets are $1 each and are sold ONLY at the Peninsula Senior Activity Center by Guild members, available from 10 a.m. to noon each Friday starting January 14th.
There will be over 100 quilts showcasing the talents of our members. All COVID protocols will be in place. The Quilt drawing is on Sunday, March 20th at 3:00, and you need not be present to win.
Clam Digging season: waiting on approval from WDFW
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced 25 more tentative dates in March and April. So come on down to the Long Beach Peninsula and get your limit of the delectable pacific northwest razor clams.

Enjoy the Discovery trail
Whether you are ready for the full 8.4-mile paved path from the Lighthouses to the North end of Long Beach or, your just looking for a decent stroll after a good meal, the Discovery trail is ready for you. Many Entrances and exits line the whole of the entirety of the trail. So either on foot or on bike, the path is wide enough to pass by others without colliding, many interesting sights to behold from a full-sized bronze bust of Meriwether Lewis to ancient whale bones.
