The weather is usually warm and sunny, and Long Beach has some significant events such as the Rod Run 2024 to the End of the World, the Friday night Art Walks, and both Friday and Saturday Farmers Markets in Long Beach and Ocean Park, respectively. Don't miss the annual Rod Run to the End of the World. Hundreds of old cars, from Model 10s to the muscle cars of your youth are on display all over Long Beach. Wherever you go and wherever you stay, you will see owners buffing and shining their cars for the annual Friday and Saturday evening parades.
Clam Digging
If you haven't dug for Razor clams before, you are missing out! Fun for children and senior citizens, all you need to dig is a shovel (most of our Bloomer Estates homes provide shovels), some boots, and a clam license. See our Clam Digging Guide for more information.

Long Beach has some of the finest art in the Pacific Northwest, and what better way to experience it all than join in the final Ilwaco Art Walk of the season. The galleries are located at the Port of Ilwaco, and the walk starts at 4:00 PM and ends at 7:00 PM.

The Saturday Market at the Port of Ilwaco features more than 70 vendors along the pedestrian-only Waterfront Way overlooking the Port of Ilwaco marina and Baker Bay. Find regional produce, wonderful baked goods, a huge selection of local plants, and many homemade arts and crafts.

This multi-day bird festival in one of the wealthiest bird destinations of North America happens in the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge and sites on Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula.
Events include expert-led bird walks and classes ranging from beginning birding to bird-friendly landscaping. Other highlights include:
- A guided tour to Long Island to an old-growth cedar grove.
- A hands-on introduction to wildlife tracking.
- A unique nature play day on Saturday for children and families.
Friday evening’s keynote speaker is expert birder Noah Strycker, an author and speaker.
An Online Auction will be live at 12:01 am September 18, running through 10 am on September 24 as a part of the event.
