Ocean Park Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade is family friendly and anyone can be in the parade, just submit an application. Parade Route Start: U St and Bay Ave, West to Vernon, South to 256th (parade disbands on 256th St).

4th of July Fireworks

 

FREE fireworks on the Beach. Downtown Long Beach, just past the arch. Don't miss the show in Ocean Park Washington where hundreds of people line up at the beach for a specatular miles long firework show that often lasts past midnight.

Feel the Thunder Fireworks Show

Bring a chair and blanket and head down to the grassy area along Waterfront Way at the Port of Ilwaco. This spectacular show is always the first Saturday in July at dusk. An alcohol free event. No personal fireworks. Fireworks start at approximately 10 p.m.

The market operates in downtown Long Beach June 14th through September 27th on Friday with new longer hours for 2019 of 12pm to 5pm. At the market, you talk with food purveyors while you purchase your week’s produce, seafood, meat, eggs and dairy, locally-made baked goods, regionally-made packaged foods, flowers and plants, and on-site prepared foods. You can sit and listen to music or other entertainment, beat your friend at checkers, chat and dance with your neighbor, or learn about a community non-profit organization.

Clamshell Railroad Days

A Celebration of the ‘Clamshell Railroad’ that ran for 41 years along the peninsula. Explore Ilwaco’s historic Freight Depot and get a chance to step inside an original 1889 passenger car, the NAHCOTTA, open only twice a year.

The Peninsula Arts Association (PAA) Artists have added a Summer Open Studio Tours to its schedule of events. This is in addition to its well attended Fall Open Studio Tours weekend. From Ilwaco to Oysterville, the Peninsula will be alive with art. Open Studios is a free self-guided tour where 25 or more local artists open their studios and creative spaces to the public and share how and where their art is created.

Long Beach Rodeo

Now in its 74th year, the rodeo features saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling, as well as team, calf and breakaway roping.
