The Peninsula Saddle Club presents the 75th annual Long Beach Rodeo on July 29th, and 30th is a must-see, authentic, and fun American Rodeo for the entire family!

The rodeo features saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding, barrel racing, and steer wrestling. There is also team, calf, and breakaway roping. The rodeo kicks off with a parade through downtown Long Beach and features cowboy breakfasts and a family night.

Join us every Friday afternoon, May through September, at Veteran's Feild behind the arcade, where tourists and locals alike gather at the Columbia Pacific Farmers Market to enjoy performances by local musicians. In addition, everyone enjoys the local food stands from the best restaurants in town and finding the perfect gift hand-crafted by local artists.

Tens, if not hundreds of thousands of eager tourists flock to the Long Beach Peninsula every year to light off over 200 metric tons of fireworks. So please come and enjoy yourself, but please keep safety at the top of the priority list. You can't have fun without safety with fireworks, so grab a lawn chair and grab a seat practically anywhere on the Peninsula and enjoy the world's longest beach firework display.

The Entire Beach

 

Every Beach approach has a 40-yard dumpster ready for the over 200 metric tonnes of Fireworks and, therefore, the garbage that litters the beach and surrounding areas after all the independence day celebrations. So grab a grocery bag, garbage bag, or fill up the pickup, and help the locals clean up and keep our beaches in pristine conditions.

The Saturday market begins every Saturday at 10:00 AM. It is the perfect place to find local organic produce, fantastic baked goods, a vast selection of local plants, and many homemade arts and crafts. There is no better place to spend a Saturday than at the Port.

Sandsations returns this year with 4 days of building sandcastles, marveling at the master sand sculptures, and enjoying the amazing beach life.  This is a must-visit event for the entire family.

Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum

Children under 12 are free.

 

An annual celebration of model trains and local train history is back! Admission is $5 for the weekend and includes a commemorative button.  Proceeds go to supporting museum operations. Regional model railroad clubs will display layouts, including the Cascade Z Modelers, Mt. Rainier N-Scale, the Longview, Kelso, and Rainier Model Railroad Club, and the Pacific Northwest On 30 Modular
